Privacy policy

Orbicentral doesn't use cookies and doesn't use any behavioral monitoring or analytics solution. Orbicentral logs IP addresses and user agents when using the API (/gp.php) to identify malicious usage. Logs are deleted on a rolling basis after 24 hours.

Acceptable use policy

Orbicentral doesn't want to enforce draconian usage restrictions on its users. Howevers, some rules are necessary to avoid abuse. They can be resumed by a few points:

1. Download only the data you need;
2. Make sure your scripts handle non-HTTP 200 status codes and stop when that happens;
3. Do not update too frequently. Once per hour is good.
4. If possible, try to randomize the times of download. If you can't (e.g. Cron jobs), pick a random minute between 10 and 50.

Please note that your process needs to identify itself via a proper User Agent. Failure to do so can cause your IP address to be blocked.

Attribution

Attribution is mandatory. Attribution must be made both to Orbicentral as well as Space-Track.org/NORAD.
